Figgy-tinis
Thanksgiving welcome drink - batched Figgy-tinis. So good we made them twice! A sweet, bright, booze-y little martini that is damn good. And gives the coveted fig jam that has graced many cheese boards at my house a whole new purpose. The only thing to note - if you’re making these for a Fall holiday, secure the figs early! We had one hell of a time finding fresh figs for the garnish, but the blackberry + lemon combo did the trick (thank goodness!).
For the cocktail
2 c. gin
1 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. fig preserves
2-3 tbsp maple syrup (or simple syrup)
2 cinnamon sticks
Add the gin, lemon juice, fig preserves, maple syrup to a large mason jar, and shake until perfectly combined. It might take some vigorous shaking to get the fig preserves fulled mixed in. Add the cinnamon sticks to the jar, seal, and leave in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight. When ready to serve, give the mix another vigorous shake + strain into glasses. Garnish with fresh rosemary and fresh figs (if you’ve got them!) or lemon/blackberry skewers.
